Ari was a lovely guy, good bonestructure, good size, super lovely temperament.
I wanted a Black-ticked boy for a long while
Ari suddenly and unexpectedly became unruly, the autopsy showed a lot of pus in the chest cavity. It seems that an abscess burst inwards instead of outwards, and then it all went downhill terribly fast. On Friday he was himself, Saturday nothing unusual was seen, Sunday afternoon he was gone, despite quick interventions. I called them at 18:30, was there at 19:00. Just before 20:00 he crashed just after the X-ray was done and they were preparing an operation to remove fluid that was squeezing his lungs and he passed away. My beautiful, fantastic boy is missed infinitely, he was one in a millon.

How Maya came to me is a long story, she was 3 years old at the time and came from a breeder with too many cats and a catrun as large as a horse pasture. She was a feral cat, all handling required work gloves, as soon as we had her she was completely paralyzed in the arms and wouldn't move at all. It took 6 months before she could be handled by me and the family. But slowly she learned to trust us and slowly she got used to family life. Maya had to move as soon as she was neutered right after her last litter, as she didn't like other cats, hated fertile females and absolutely hated fertile males.
Maya lived with Linnea and lived a wonderful life as a much-loved cat in a single-cat-household!

Maya turned 19, just before she passed away!

I got a call from Ulrike in Austria, she had a male available, a BlackTicked! I just had to have him and what a guy, big, strong, handsome. Temperament like a huge friendly teddy bear. Willie was complete until he was 6 years old and behaved exemplary. I could have easily let him be complete for the rest of his life if it weren't for the fact that I promised him away to his "fodervärdar". Willie lives with his fantastic former "fodervärdar" in Kungsbacka and lived a long happy life as a very loved pet.

Tanten (Tanten means old lady) came here as a foster cat because I thought it would be fun to have a Sphynx, but wasn't interested in buying one. I breed Maine Coon so buying a Sphynx was not on my agenda. My friend who breeds Sphynxes thought I should get one for fostering and then try a litter to see if I liked it.(I think she hoped I would change breed *LOL*).
Tanten had 3 litters here, her daughter Kaidan stayed and had one litter. Tanten moved to Vio and became a happy pensioner there after being neutered.

Abba is a super lovely, strong and sturdy guy, who came to me by a coincidence. I am incredibly grateful for this super lovely guy. Abba was given to Snötösen's who asked to keep him as they fell in love with him. I had promised that he would be allowed to move back to Norway, and the previous owner when he was neutered. But since he was happy and they asked that he be allowed to stay, I asked the previous owner. To their great happiness, the former owner said yes and Abba went into Snötösen's ownership in the fall of 2021. Abba was let out freely, even though he was not allowed to go out freely according to the contract. Unfortunately he probably died in the spring of 2022, I found out a lot later that he had passed away via a post on FB.

It started with a castration chip (suprelorin), his mammary glands became as big as tennis balls and his skin cracked. He had to go through so much pain and such strong antibiotic courses during the healing but finally got better. Shortly afterwards he got a very sore throat, didn't want to eat and just didn't want to fight again. Martin his owner at the time made the decision to let him go. He was examined before that both before and after without anything wrong being found, other than him being very irritated in the mucous membrane in his throat. All the samples that were taken were super fine, everything from infection samples to cancer samples.

We have now received the results of the autopsy, a relief was that nothing was found that suggests anything hereditary, but the only thing that the macroscopic and microscopic examination found was a pulmonary edema that may have been caused by sudden cardiac death. The cause of death was Acute Pulmonary Edema. There are probably many who wonder what happened and honestly, we ask ourselves that question. It happened so quickly that many probably still haven't quite realized that he is no longer with us.

Everything was as usual until he died, we went through the veterinary inspection at the show, checked in and went to our cage and started hanging up the cage cover. Suddenly, he sounds really irritated, but soon becomes quiet again. Martina says now lies completely still and just watching and that sounded good. We attache the last one of the cage cover, and I tell Vio to lift the cage out and let him out directly into the exhibition cage since he sounded upset earlier. She does that and he basically just "flows" out of the carrier, completely lifeless!

I feel like I'm screaming at Vio to take him back to the vet, but maybe I wasn't as loud as I thought. We get to the vet check-in and (again I feel like I'm screaming), tell the vets at check-in that we have a lifeless cat. The vet understands the seriousness of the situation and comes running, she grabs the carrier and just dumps him out on the floor, and immediately starts doing CPR on him. But he's completely gone. There's nothing to do, Sigge is gone!

I want to send a huge thank you to the Västsvenska Kattlubben, Annette Sjödin and Kicki Thenberg for an absolutely fantastic care, during our difficult time and that great shock. I don't know what we would have done without you! An endless thank you for all the support and help!

We lost Simone in a pregnancy that went completely wrong, overnight she went from completely fine to dying. We went to the emergency room when suddenly in just a few hours at night she went from completely fine to having a temperature of 35 degrees. She was ultrasounded and x-rayed and it was determined that she had blood poisoning due to two dead fetuses. Simone was operated on urgently but her life could not be saved. I will never forget when the nurse called and said: - We have a little girl here who won't wake up (for a few seconds I just thought it would just take a while, but we would get her home), but when the animal caretaker continues in the next breath by saying...
-We have 3 vets with her right now who are doing everything they can, I understood that she was lost. A quarter of an hour later, the animal caretaker calls again, to tell us that we lost her.
Many, many years after her death, I asked for the medical record to read, there you can read:
Stable under anesthesia under ventilator - good oxygenation and stable pulse around 90-100.
The cat died suddenly during the wake-up.

Kos was neutered and lived with the Ramos family together with Blondie and Anna, he lived a wonderful life with lots of cuddles and play, as well being outside a lot in a catstroller and on a leash. He was the offspring of Tucken. Tucken was the most loving, nice, calm male you could imagine, he was a bit of the long, tall, slender type, but very big. One of those that you marvel at when you lift them, you know. They don't look as heavy as they are, just pure muscles. Kos was a very nice boy, he had his father's temperament as it seems. He had a nice body and bone structure. Kos did not pass the tests, he was diagnosed with Mild HCM at the first HCM, and both his mother and siblings were put on hold, his mother was cleared when she was tested again at 3 years old. At the next HCM he had been living for a short while at another person who made the mistake of giving him a bag of sweets a day (probably thinking it was food). When he came to the Ramos family he was extremely overweight, we immediately put him on free access but on Diabetes food and he immediately started to lose weight slowly but surely. However, at his second HCM he was diagnosed with Moderate HCM and not quite a year later, we unfortunately lost him.

But Beka was getting worse and worse, she had recurring UTIs, had mental problems, we tried everything but she peed and was extremely shy. We even tried Prozac on her, but when she attacked me twice when we put her back on it, we had to make the difficult decision that the best thing for her, was to put her to sleep. She wasn't living a dignified life. We had tried homes without other cats, homes with a friend, homes with several friends. In short, everything we could think of, for three years we struggled to find a solution for Beka, but at the end we failed her.
